Corporate Amalgamation

The Government of Alberta maintains a database to record important corporate information for every corporation registered to do business in Alberta. Those responsible for the corporation must ensure that the information is kept up-to-date.

When two or more corporations merge into a single entity, the process is called ‘Amalgamation’. This brings the corporate history of these corporations together as one. Once the proper forms are filed at New Urban Registry, those former corporations will become legally amalgamated into one and or continue under one of the former names or under a new name. See: NUAN Reports.

The merging of one or more corporations may become complicated because of different tax years, different corporate records, different business names, etc. It is recommended that you seek the services of a qualified lawyer, accountant or other professional consultants before you merge corporations.

Amalgamation services are available at New Urban Registry.
